Executive Assistant, Core AI - Amazon

Description Core AI is an interdisciplinary applied science organization with focus areas in operations research, economics, AI/machine learning (ML), and statistics. We partner with senior leaders across Amazon to identify their top business challenges and develop solutions. We rely on scientific talent who are part of our organization, but also work with academic partners around the world. This position will report into the executive assistant to the Chief Economist and VP of Core AI, and will support one Director and two Senior Principal Scientists. The role requires exceptionally sound judgment, outstanding communication skills, a high level of integrity and discretion with confidential information, and professionalism while interacting with senior leaders inside and outside the company. This Executive Assistant will be responsible for handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives. Role responsibilities include managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, and coordinating domestic and international travel. This candidate will help build a positive team environment and establish working relationships inside and outside of the group. Key job responsibilities - Manage complex calendar and scheduling to support teams in multiple locations - Manage domestic and international travel - Manage expense report coordination and submission - Organize, execute, and assist with team activities (staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, off-sites, and team social events) - Ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and follow up on outstanding matters.- Ensure the timely completion of critical tasks and follow up on outstanding matters. as a liaison for direct reports - Work closely with the leadership team, program managers, recruiting, and other Executive Assistants to provide support to the organization - Help to develop & maintain new mechanisms within the team We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Seattle, WA, USA Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of senior level leadership support, or 1+ years of Amazon experience - High school or equivalent diploma - Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications - Experience with executive level calendar management Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company - Experience managing multiple calendars - Superior attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines - Ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround - Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical skills - Demonstrated ability to design and improve processes - Ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time - High level of integrity and discretion - Impeccable attention to detail - Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
