The Neshaminy School District has an anticipated opening for an Executive Administrative Assistant.
Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, The Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools (Internally known as Confidential Secretary) provides executive support in a one-on-one working relationship. The Executive Administrative Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the Superintendent. The Executive Administrative Assistant also serves as a liaison to the cabinet administrators, organizes and coordinates executive outreach and supports external relations efforts, and oversees special projects. The Executive Administrative Assistant must be creative and enjoy working within an environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgement in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication abilities, administrative and organizational skills, and the capability of maintaining a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Administrative Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure. This individual will need to be able to handle a wide variety of activities and approach confidential matters with discretion.
This role requires attendance at 3-4 EVENING board and/or committee meetings per month.
Qualifications for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Minimum 5 years clerical/secretarial experience in an office setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- High-level of customer/client service and response.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, including Publisher, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, highly structured environment.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
