Overview:
Parkwest We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Executive Administrative Assistant for the California Games Section. Coordinates all the administrative aspects of the Casino administration office and supports all gaming managers by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities:- Sorts and prioritizes items sent to the Shift Managers and handles those items which do not require management assistance on reports and status on all items.
- Provides administrative support to all gaming management in the preparation of all gaming reports.
- Works closely with Marketing to coordinate gaming events which includes but is not limited to internal and external promotional campaigns.
- Acts as a liaison between gaming and all other departments by communicating clear expectations from staff.
- Screens and handles traffic in the casino administration areas; composes memos, letters, announcements as directed by the Casino Manager.
- Performs all administrative tasks regarding to payroll and scheduling of staff.
- Maintains confidential files for the gaming office.
- Handles requests for maintenance or facilities for the gaming areas.
- Oversees timecards and timekeeping records.
- Updates Gaming information such as policies and procedures; rules, games, promotions and events.
- Creates and maintains different tracking systems for hotel and food expenses as well as revenue centers. Tracks progress as needed.
- Maintains office supply inventory; calls for service and arranges for equipment repairs if needed.
- Assists in special projects, as necessary.
- Qualified individual must have ability to work in an intense and fast paced environment.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
- Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Available for full time work which may include weekends and evening scheduling; and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
- Able to communicate clearly with team members.
- Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Able to work independently.
- Able to work within a team environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Highly desired: Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is highly desired.
- Highly desired: Familiarity with Chinese culture and business practices.
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma and Associate’s Degree in business and/or other related field or combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience working with multi-national individuals; familiarity with Chinese Culture and business practices highly preferred. Ideal candidate should have three-five years in administrative capacity for a large organization – hospitality or entertainment a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite to include Excel, Word, Outlook Microsoft PowerPoint and Acrobat.
- Qualified individual must have a HIGH sense of confidentiality; possess a great level of initiative and follow through; excellent administrative writing skills, organizational processes; good problem-solving and communication skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements
• Must be able to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
