Compensation

Salary Range: $19.75 - $27.50 / hour

The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.

Pay for PRN positions is calculated differently than Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and Part-Time positions. PRN Rates depend on the position and other factors, including years of experience, or shift commitment according to the department policy. PRN differential is added in certain positions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The Environmental Service Lead works as part of a team in directing and managing the institutional housekeeping program to ensure clean, orderly and attractive conditions of establishment by performing the following duties personally or directing job tasks through department employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Will assume supervisory (lead person) responsibilities on day(s) when the Supervisor or Manager is not present.  While performing the duty of lead may manage up to 28 employees.  Is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of work for this day.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures, applicable laws and department processes.  Responsibilities include interviewing, training, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and maybe asked to address complaints and resolve some problems from time to time.

Qualifications

Required:

• Must be able to speak, read and write documents in English.
• Must understand (SDS) Safety Data Sheets, pertaining to use and handling of chemicals.
• One (1) year previous experience in a related field

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a leadership role.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
