Special Instructions for Applicants:Demonstrated skill in managing a variety of public events, including large and small-scale productions, receptions, etc... (Required) Working knowledge of theatrical event disciplines, stage-management, carpentry & rigging, electrical & AV/sound, stage-drapery, rigging, chain-hoists & fly systems, orchestra shells & pits, backline, follow-spots, props, wardrobe, hospitality, shop operations and safety. (Required) Physical ability to perform event duties that involve walking, stooping, bending, stretching, climbing, pulling, pushing and extended periods of standing. Must be able to lift a maximum of 35 lbs. (Required) Ability to work under pressure in an independent, self-directed prioritized manner to manage multiple tasks, with appropriate follow-thru, to meet internal and external deadlines, while possessing the flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities as they occur. (Required) Perform efficiently while coping with a fluctuating workload, changing & competing requirements, conflicting deadlines and frequent interruptions. (Required) Demonstrated high-level of responsiveness and attentiveness, within a complex organization, in dealing with clients, part-time emplyees and career staff. (Required) Excellent command of written and spoken English, with ability to convey information, verbally and in writing, in clear and accurate manner, using appropriate language, vocabulary, grammar and professionalism to explain procedures and resolve issues. Position Summary:Royce Hall, a historic landmark completed in 1929, is a premier performing arts venue managed by UCLA Theater Management Services. Under the general supervision of the Venue Manager, this position provides technical support for our season of worldclass performances as well as other events scheduled in the venues T.M.S. services. Working hours include nights, weekends and occasional holidays and overtime. Works under the general supervision of the Production Manager and specific direction of the department's event-managers
