Special Instructions for Applicants:Working knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of event planning and production and public relations (Required) Ability to operate a wide range of audio-visual Equipment. (Preferred) Ability to operate a PC with Microsoft Office software. (Required) Good interpersonal communication skills and political acumen, including skill in effectively representing the department to its publics. (Required) Ability to supervise student technicians and other student employees. (Required) Working organizational skills, including skill in effectively coordinating and organizing multiple details. Excellent organizational skills appropriate to effective calendar management and student and/or volunteer scheduling. (Required) Skill in analyzing the technical needs of meetings/events/classes. (Required) Ability to operate Macintosh computers and other Apple products. (Preferred) Ability to act professionally in the university work setting. (Required) Skill in supervising development/maintenance of websites and databases. (Preferred) Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Professional Affiliations:Bachelor's Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training (Required) Valid driver's license and ability to safely drive University owned vehicle (Gem/Golf Cart) (Required) Special Conditions of Employment:Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation. Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment. In addition to the listed responsibilities, coordinate, and advise on event implementation, oversee the inventory and management of Residential Life programming equipment (storage and maintenance).
