About the Job
Our client, a global law firm, is looking for a new Conference and Events Manager role to handle the management of all internally facing firm events here in Chicago. This role offers a hybrid schedule and is open due to growth within the firm!
Responsibilities:
- Manage the Chicago reception, event planning, food services, AV and conference services teams in the delivery and execution of all external and internal events in the Chicago office.
- Oversee and coordinate scheduling of conference center and meeting rooms including a comprehensive meeting calendar.
- Consult with conference center clients to determine event needs such as space, set-up, AV requirements, catering and event support.
- Coordinate event scheduling of rooms, food, IT equipment, and rentals
- Attend and oversee events as necessary
- Conduct site visits and tours for clients and guests of conference center
- Assist with catering budget and review other bills and processes as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
About You:
- 5+ years of experience in event planning or conference center management, ideally within the professional services space
- Knowledge of Chicago venues and event spaces/restaurants
- Experience with automated booking systems
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
