POSITION PURPOSE:
The Event Work Crew position primarily assist in the setup and breakdown of Denve...QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous event set-up/break-down and/or equipment experience preferred. Basic math skills a plus.
Demonstrated commitment to delivery of world class internal/external guest service.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to take direction/receive instruction as part of facilities team.
Strong organizational and time management skills; keen attention to detail with focus on quality and service.
Takes initiative, exercises good judgment; can prioritize work and adapt as needed.
Ability to represent The Denver Art Museum in a professional manner with guests and vendors at all time.
High school diploma (or GED) preferred.
At least one (1) year of prior experience working with event set up and logistics preferred.
Can operate effectively in an intense and dynamic guest service environment, and respond/interact with guests and vendors in a manner consistent with Denver Art Museum standards.
Certifications and Licenses:
Possess and maintain a valid Colorado class R driver’s license.
Note: driving record must be checked/approved by facility insurance carrier
Candidate must be 18 years of age.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on a regular basis with assistance.
Must be able to stay at post for long periods of time.
Must be able to deal with outside elements such as wind, rain, snow, and heat.
Use of ladders, stairs, and/or scaffolding.
Access supplies at various heights.
Position type: This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU. All nonsupervisory roles are either represented or non-represented. Represented means the role is unionized and covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU. Non-represented means the role is not unionized.
Pay: The hiring hourly range for the position is $19 -$20 based on experience. A $0.50 language differential is available for hours worked for candidates who have Spanish speaking proficiency.
