POSITION PURPOSE:

High School Education or GED or Higher
Required Training and Certifications:
DAM Safety/Security/and Customer Service
The completion of the in-house training curriculum.
Experience:
Previous experience working on special event operations or security operations.
Three to five years customer service experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
May be called upon to handle emergency or crisis situations.
Subject to long irregular hours and called upon to stay at post for long periods without a break.
Able to climb the building stairs, a minimum of 3 floors without stopping.
Demonstrate physical agility.
Able to lift and operate to discharge, a 10-lb. fire extinguisher.
Lift a 25-lb small child and drag a 150 lb. person
Listen to and respond to normal conversation, or radio traffic, in a typical museum environment.
Position type: This position may or not be covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU. All nonsupervisory roles are either represented or non-represented. Represented means the role is unionized and covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement with AFSCME-CWU. Non-represented means the role is not unionized.
Pay: The hiring hourly range for the position is $21.40 - $27.30 based on experience. A $0.50 language differential is available for hours worked for candidates who have Spanish speaking proficiency.
