We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Hotel Event Services Manager to oversee the planning and execution of all hotel events, including weddings, conferences, banquets, and corporate meetings. As the Event Services Manager, you will work closely with clients to understand their event needs, coordinate logistics with internal departments, and ensure seamless execution from start to finish. This role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000/yr.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients planning events at the hotel, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
- Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand their event requirements, preferences, and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create customized event proposals and packages tailored to client needs.
- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, including room setup, catering, audiovisual equipment, and special requests.
- Liaise with internal departments, including catering, housekeeping, maintenance, and security, to ensure all event logistics are coordinated effectively.
- Supervise event staff, including banquet servers, bartenders, and setup crews, to ensure high-quality service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular reports to management on revenue and profitability.
- Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to event planning and hospitality services.
Qualifications:
- Renaissance brand or Marriott brand experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or related field preferred, but applicable years of experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or hotel operations, with a proven track record of managing successful events.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to prioritize competing demands and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Social Tables) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and supervise event staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to accommodate client events and meetings.
