Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job Concept
Provides project management, consultative selling and client communication for high-end corporate group meetings and events. The Event Producer is ultimately responsible for the program development, planning, execution, client satisfaction, and PRA program profitability. Works in conjunction with the Managing Director to direct the project from lead fulfillment through sales, program and group billing. Must possess exceptional communication skills and be adept at listening to a client's needs, analyzing the group profile and providing concise information, program direction, creative options and logistical solutions to clients.
Knowledge, Skill And Ability Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Business Events Company, DMC, hospitality or event planning industry
- Strong account management skills and prior catering sales or conference service experience
- Destination expertise extensive knowledge of the products, venues, vendors
- Exceptional communication skills; verbal and written, telephone and email etiquette, able to direct a client effectively throughout the program planning process
- Ability to listen, interpret, analyze and provide consultative selling to meet business and client objectives
- Superior creative, logistical and organizational skills to effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Clear knowledge of budgets, project P/L past accountability for revenue and profit
- Supervisory and delegation experience preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as an integral part of the team
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, CRM or Data Base experience preferred
- Conflict resolution skills, ability to remain calm under pressure of deadlines, upset staff or clients
- Ability to receive candid feedback and possess a high degree of accountability
- Superior customer service skills, maintain positive working relationships with vendors, staff and clients
- Ability to work schedule that caters to client needs, flexible yet demanding hours including early mornings, days, nights, and weekends
- Satisfactory motor vehicle record and proof of valid insurance with reliable transportation
Other Job Requirements
Able to drive to/from and conduct site inspections and program events which may include walking on uneven ground and unpaved surfaces
