Job Title: Event Coordinator
Location: Redwood City, CA 94063 - Onsite
Duration: 6 Months - Onsite Role - (Extension/Conversion based on performance)
Pay Rate: ($25-$27.73) hourly
Shift: Part-Time - Role 20 hours a week/ONSITE (potential for hybrid later)
Timing: 9 AM - 4 PM, Monday to Thursday (may need to adjust depending on the event)
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with SDS teams to develop comprehensive event plans.
- Manage logistics, including venue selection, registration, and vendor coordination.
- Oversee on-site event operations and provide exceptional attendee experiences.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Financial Management: - Track event budgets, process invoices, and reconcile expenses.
- Analyze event performance metrics to inform future strategies.
Communication and Collaboration: - Effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Build strong relationships and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of event management experience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office1 Suite and G-Workspace.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with event management software.
- Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
- A passion for data science and a desire to contribute to academic research.
Salary
25 - 27 /hour
