This position will prepare and complete warehouse operations inbound and outbound shipments. Provide support to the supply chain through collecting, loading, shipping and receiving household goods and/or products. They will be responsible for operating technical equipment, optimizing loading for efficient logistics and supporting other warehouse functions to ensure optimal operation of the business.
Reports To: Operations Dispatcher and the Operations Manager
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Including but not limited to the following:
- Keep packing materials and equipment clean and well organized.
- Assist with the loading/unloading of household/office goods to/from vehicle/container.
- Ensure that all goods are checked against inventory/packing list as appropriate.
- Ensure that each storage vault is accurately and safely stored.
- Ensure paperwork for each storage location is provided to the proper staff member.
- Supervise the safe loading and unloading of all containers.
- Maintain accurate records of all storage containers as well as all loose items.
- Ensure that all waste material is sorted for regular collection.
- Ensure that lift vans are emptied regularly; no rubbish to be left in the yard or on the trucks.
- Ensure safe operation of fork-lifts including use of safety belts.
- Ensure that all accidents are recorded and reported.
- Keep abreast of any industry, environmental and/or quality developments which may affect the services offered by the Company.
- Keep the warehouse clean and neat and point out any safety hazards to management immediately.
- Adhere to departmental and other relevant procedures.
- Meet all quality standards set by the Company.
- Always maintain confidentiality.
- any other duties as may be requested by the Company.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to successfully obtain a TSA / STA approval
- Measure master license within first 30 days in position
- Forklift certified
- Requires driver's license and clean driver's history
- Ability to follow directions and exercise sound judgment and decision making

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise level may be high when operating power equipment. Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must be able to lift frequently up to 100 pounds and ask for assistance in lifting items that are bulky or excessively heavy or appear to be beyond the employee capability. Employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as in appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or other.
