[Evening Shift] Shift Leader - Bilingual (Spanish) Unaccompanied Minors - Lutheran Social Service of New York

REPORTS TO:  Shift Leader Supervisor & Assistant Director of Operations

CLASSIFICA...EDUCATION:

•    High School Diploma/GED 

•    NYC Food Protection Certificate within 120 days of hire

•    Bilingual in English and Spanish

•    NY State Security License (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

•    Two years’ experience working with immigrant children or adolescents.

•    A minimum of one years’ supervisory experience.

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER:

•    Driver’s License

•    Excellent communication and writing skills

•    Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. consistently

•    Ability to exercise enormous amount of patience and good judgment

•    Knowledgeable about working with immigrant youth 

•    Superior leadership and organizational skills: ability to work independently and as part of a team; resourceful; ability to manage time effectively and multi-task; able to motivate team to achieve excellent outcomes

•    Experience and facility with Microsoft Office Applications

•    Ability to work flexible hours as needed
