Evening Shift Custodian - Charleston (Multiple Sites) - Goodwill Industries of the Summit

Part-time custodial position performing cleaning duties in the Charleston, WV area. Responsible for keeping premises of office building in clean and orderly condition by performing the following job duties:

• Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
• Sweeps, and scrubs floor.
• Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
• Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Replenishes bathroom supplies.
• Sweep and pickup trash on the parking lot and entrances or as specified by contract.
• Cleans all sinks, commodes, and mirrors.
• Maintain janitorial equipment and supplies to ensure economical use thereof.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred, and one to three months experience and/or training.  Prior custodial experience strongly preferred.
• Must have ability to pass criminal background check.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Judgment must be used if items weigh over 25 pounds.
• Valid driver's license required.

Part-time, evening shift position.  Shifts vary but may fall as follows:

Monday: 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Tuesday:  4:30 pm to 10:15 pm

Wednesday:  4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Thursday:  4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Friday:  4:30 pm to 10:30 pm
