Data/ETL Engineer
Industry-leading, innovative technology company has an immediate need for a Data/ETL Developer with strong experience in SQL, Python, Data Warehousing, and building ETL pipelines to join their growing team in a full-time, onsite role based in Stamford, CT. This individual will design, build, optimize, and implement data pipelines using a variety of data sources. You will join a world-class team to ensure the quality, availability, and accessibility of B2B and B2C data for use by end users and downstream applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines to efficiently extract, transform, and load real-time data from a wide range of sources
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including infrastructure automation, scalability, and optimization of data delivery.
- Building infrastructure for optimal ETL of data from various sources using AWS/GCP and SQL.
- Optimize data models and pipelines for performance and scalability to handle large datasets.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders including analysts, product, executives, and data scientists to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of professional experience designing, developing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting data pipelines.
- Strong hands-on Python and SQL Query Design skills.
- Hands-on data visualization tools including Tableau and/or Power BI.
- Experience with Data Warehouse/Data Lakes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments including AWS/GCP
- AI/Client knowledge is a huge plus
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., Fivetran, Airflow, Spark, Flink) is a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
