The Structural Steel Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for structural steel projects. Key Responsibilities
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for structural steel components.
- Develop competitive cost estimates and budgets for projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather project information and clarify details.
- Analyze market trends and pricing for materials and labor.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and bid documents.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a structural steel estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of structural steel materials and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools, including Tekla and Bluebeam is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
