Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Utilize your knowledge and expertise in Civil Construction to prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop comprehensive financial reports.
- Evaluate different cost factors and assess economic and financial viability of projects.
- Analyze blueprints, construction plans and project specifications to gain a deep understanding of the complete cost of a project.
- Communicate with vendors, clients, contractors and team members regarding new and current projects.
- Prepare risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies.
- Regularly review and update cost databases and estimation protocols.
- Monitor the progress of projects and adjust estimates and budgets as necessary.
- Participate in project management, planning, budgeting and scheduling.
- Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that cost estimates are accurate and projects are within budget.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Civil Construction industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field.
- Proficient with Estimating software and tools.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of industry trends, regulations and standards.
