Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough cost estimation and take-offs for real estate development projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors to gather accurate project specifications and requirements.
- Negotiating and managing vendor contracts and purchasing agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely procurement.
- Analyzing market trends and sourcing suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Monitoring project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Providing regular reports and updates to senior management regarding project costing and purchasing activities.
- Develop and maintain a list of reliable suppliers and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator or purchasing manager in the real estate or construction industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs, and industry trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
