Job Title: Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Estimator to lead hard bids and negotiated proposals for manufacturing, power, and energy projects. This role requires a proven professional with a strong background in creating competitive bids and budgets, alongside a comprehensive understanding of industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and estimate requirements.
Prepare detailed trade scopes of work and backup documentation for review.
Solicit and evaluate project-specific proposals from subcontractors and suppliers for completeness and competitiveness.
Develop options and recommend value-driven solutions based on cost, engineering, quality, or material availability.
Build and maintain positive relationships with owners, consultants, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Assist operations teams with awarded contracts and projects, including estimating and pricing change orders and resolving contractual issues.
Collaborate with Proposal Coordinators to create professional, comprehensive proposals (schedules, project narratives, organizational charts, etc.).
Develop conceptual proposals to support business development efforts.
Negotiate and issue subcontracts as required.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or other scheduling systems. Experience with On-Screen Takeoff and/or MC2 software is preferred.
Strong understanding of conceptual estimating, estimating techniques, and cost control.
Ability to prepare proposals with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate bid inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Comfort in working within team environments.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred).
A minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating roles.
