Estimator - HR Recruiting Services

The Estimator position will report to the VP of Sales and Estimating. The scope of work for the position involves executing computer aided and hand take off estimates of structural steel components. 

Responsibilities:

• Have an understanding and ability of labor standard components.

• Development of supporting documentation for the preparation of completed estimates.

• The position will be required to perform takeoffs of all types of structural steel components and typical detail requirements.

• View vendor and sub-tier quotes to ensure scope compliance with contract documents.

• Produce estimated summaries identifying basic and special requirements for the required scope of work such as buyout items.

• Assist in the training of Estimators in training positions

• Travel up to 20%

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in bridge construction, estimating, or relevant field
• must understand mean and methods of bridge construction
• must be comfortable reviewing construction plans and specifications
• Strong experience reviewing construction drawings
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Bluebeam and outlook
• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
