Estimator, Industrial Machining
In search of dynamic team player to spearhead our custom mechanical projects at our Mont/Bucks County manufacturing facility. If you are interested in joining a high-growth, well established organization with outstanding growth opportunity, then this is an opportunity for you!
Responsibilities:
- Create cost estimates for labor, materials, outside processing, and production lead times based on customer blueprints and specifications.
- Calculate production costs using labor rates, material, and processing estimates.
- Analyze BOMs, gather pricing for hardware, and coordinate with the supply chain team for raw materials and services.
- Support operations with process improvements, tool design, and cycle time enhancements.
- Monitor and follow up on quote statuses.
- Coordinate product planning and launch for new business.
- Work with Purchasing on quotes and maintain customer relationships.
- Review and negotiate customer purchase orders, manage the customer specifications library.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience preparing estimates in the CNC industrial machining industry.
- Direct CNC exposure
- 3-5 years in precision machining or manufacturing engineering, with expertise in machine tool setup and operation.
- Proficient in GD&T, interpreting blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Knowledge of tooling and machining processes, including quoting run times.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools and ERP systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel; CAD/CAM experience is a plus.
- Close vision, and color vision ability required
- Safely and effectively lifting, carrying, and moving objects of varying weights
- Bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, standing, and walking for extended periods and maintaining the necessary physical dexterity and coordination
- Working in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, and noise levels at times
