We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our vibrant team. This position will play a pivotal role in our construction projects, working closely with our project managers and clients to provide detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the initial stages of our projects, ensuring we deliver quality and value to our clients while maintaining our commitment to excellence and integrity.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver detailed cost estimates and budget forecasts for our waterproofing, fire proofing and coatings construction projects.
2. Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to create accurate estimates.
3. Utilize CRM software to track, manage, and report on project costs and progress.
4. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best prices and contracts.
5. Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines.
6. Maintain a positive image and brand for the company through professional interactions with clients, suppliers, and team members.
7. Communicate effectively with clients, presenting estimates and addressing any questions or concerns.
8. Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.
9. Continually monitor project costs, identifying any potential issues and working proactively to address them.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction estimating or a related field.
2. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other project documents.
3. Experience with coatings, budgeting, negotiation, and cost management in a construction context.
4. Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant technology.
5. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
6. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong focus on delivering results.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
8. Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
9. Positive image branding, reflecting a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
10. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
