This role involves collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to deliver precise cost assessments that align with project budgets and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications and blueprints to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for accurate cost estimation.
- Prepare and present detailed project estimates to stakeholders and clients.
- Monitor project costs and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and negotiate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the electrical industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
