Summary/Primary Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates, collaborating with construction site teams, and utilizing specialized software to prepare detailed estimates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, excellent research skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine accurate cost estimates.
- Estimate costs for construction projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements.
- Collect data and analyze all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate.
- Identify and quantify potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs.
- Update costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes.
- Collaborate with construction site teams to gather necessary information for estimating
- Utilize software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed estimates
- Conduct thorough research on materials, labor, and equipment costs
- Prepare and submit competitive bids for projects
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase
- Communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and project managers
- Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs
- All other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- 3-5+ years of experience as an Estimator, or construction estimating and cost control in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using HeavyBid and Bluebeam software preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to conduct thorough research on costs related to materials, labor, and equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with construction site teams and various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of value engineering principles and practices.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibility.
Expected Hours of Work:
An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Brightcore also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the base salary. The base annual salary range for this position is $95,000-$115,000 and is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus.

Office/Remote Work Guidelines:
Recognizing the success of remote work, Brightcore operates in a hybrid model. Eligible employees will have the option to work remotely for two (2) days per week at their discretion, with final approval by their direct supervisor. This policy is subject to change at Brightcore's discretion.
