Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Estimator, your primary role will be to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for our concrete construction projects. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Reviewing and understanding project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
2. Performing take-offs from architectural drawings to determine the quantity of materials required for projects.
3. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to gather details and compile data for estimates.
4. Analyzing data such as labor costs, material costs, location, and production times to determine the overall cost of the project.
5. Preparing and submitting formal bids to clients, ensuring all proposals are accurate, competitive, and profitable.
6. Managing the cost database and updating cost inputs regularly.
7. Participating in proposal presentations and client meetings.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, specifically in concrete works for high-rise, commercial buildings.
2. Proficiency in take-offs and a solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
3. Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex information and deliver accurate estimates.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
5. Proficiency in using estimation software and other relevant computer applications.
6. A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
7. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
8. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision.
9. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
