Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate estimates
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment
- Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals and incorporate them into estimates
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
- Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues
- Review and analyze project costs, budgets, and schedules to ensure profitability and efficiency
- Assist with project management tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management, Accubid, Conest, electrical construction, and commercial estimation
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimation software
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
