- Prepare detailed cost estimates through a meticulous analysis of plans and specifications, conducting quantity take-offs for select trades.
- Collaborate closely with project management teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of project specifications and intricacies.
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure alignment with contract documents.
- Conduct thorough risk analyses, identifying potential issues or obstacles to ensure an accurate reflection of risks in cost estimates.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring a comprehensive knowledge of cost fluctuations and market trends.
- Review design options and recommend optimal solutions based on cost, quality, and material availability.
- Actively participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Assist in the preparation of studies, materials, methods, recommendations, and cost estimates as required.
- Provide consultation on planning aspects, including schedules and manpower needs, as required by project management teams.
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
- Demonstrate proven expertise in commercial, industrial, higher education, K12, interiors, and tenant improvement projects.
- Exhibit a strong ability to read and comprehend construction plans and specifications.
- Showcase exceptional mathematical skills and analytical thinking.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, including Procore, Bluebeam, OST, etc.
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
