Estimating Manager at Per Se Group

Summary

Per Sé Group is working with a leading local commercial general contractor in Des Moines looking to hire a Construction Estimator. The ideal candidate has ground-up commercial construction estimating experience on projects of $10M+

Responsibilities

• Ability to lead the estimating process of ground-up commercial construction projects from start to finish
• Collaborate with PMs, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to create accurate cost estimates
• Manage the timeline and schedule of all bid documents
• Analyze blueprints and other documents
• Quantity takeoffs
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits
• Work closely with the Preconstruction VP to develop and grow the estimating department
• Mentor and support junior estimating staff

Preferred Skills and Expertise

• 6-8+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
• 2+ years of management experience
• Sage Estimating software experience preferred
• BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar preferred
