We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Planning / Probate Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a broad range of estate planning and probate matters, including drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of probate law and the ability to provide sound legal advice to our clients. Responsibilities:
1. Draft, review, and amend a wide range of estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
2. Provide expert legal advice to clients on all aspects of estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
3. Represent clients in probate court proceedings.
4. Conduct comprehensive client meetings to identify individual estate planning needs.
5. Manage and maintain client relationships, ensuring all queries and concerns are addressed promptly.
6. Keep abreast of latest developments in estate planning and probate law to ensure the company's compliance and to provide the most current advice to clients.
7. Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop comprehensive estate plans.
8. Assist with estate and trust administration, including probate court filings, tax returns, and asset distribution.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning and probate law.
4. Proficient in drafting and interpreting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
5. Strong knowledge of probate court procedures and rules.
6. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
7. Excellent client service skills with the ability to manage and build client relationships.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
11. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
12. High level of professional ethics and integrity.
