Job Details
We are seeking a highly capable and experienced Permanent Estate Planning Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing estate planning matters, providing exceptional client service, and ensuring efficient case management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment where your expertise in legal writing, document management, client relations, legal correspondence, and legal drafting will be highly valued. This is a hybrid opportunity 3 days onsite 2 days work from home post training.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, and probate applications.
2. Utilize HotDocs and ProSystems FX Tax for document preparation and tax-related tasks.
3. Conduct comprehensive legal research and case analysis.
4. Manage and organize case files, ensuring all relevant documents are easily accessible.
5. Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards.
6. Maintain client relations, providing regular updates on case progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
7. Manage legal correspondence, ensuring all communication is timely, professional, and accurate.
8. Utilize advanced Excel skills for data management and reporting.
9. Coordinate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in estate planning.
2. A paralegal certificate or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is preferred.
3. Proficiency in legal writing and drafting, with a keen eye for detail.
4. Extensive experience in document management and client relations.
5. Familiarity with drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
6. Demonstrated knowledge of estate planning, wills, probate, tax law, and trusts.
7. Proficiency in HotDocs, ProSystems FX Tax, and advanced Excel.
8. Strong legal research skills and the ability to analyze complex legal issues.
9. Excellent case management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals.
