We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join our dynamic team.
This is an exceptional opportunity for an attorney who has a deep understanding and practical experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate law.
The ideal candidate will bring experience servicing high-net worth clients and a tax background (CPA, LLM, etc.)
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and modify a wide range of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Manage all aspects of trust administration, including distribution of assets, preparation of trust accountings, and resolution of trust-related disputes.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice to clients on various estate planning and wealth preservation strategies.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to develop integrated estate plans.
- Stay abreast of changes in estate planning, probate, and trust administration laws and regulations.
- Conduct client meetings and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and updates.
- Represent clients in probate court proceedings, if necessary.
- Participate in business development activities to expand the firm’s estate planning practice.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state of CA or DC.
- A minimum of five years of experience in estate planning and trust administration.
- Demonstrated expertise in drafting complex estate planning documents.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and concise manner.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
