Our organization, a leading entity in the healthcare industry, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Estate Planning Attorney. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of complex estate planning matters, including estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in law, specifically estate planning, who is looking to apply their skills in the dynamic healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all estate planning matters, including wills, trusts, estate tax, gift tax, and other related areas.
- Develop and implement strategic estate plans for high net worth individuals and families, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Work closely with clients to understand their long-term objectives and devise estate plans that align with these goals.
- Provide legal advice on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and other related issues.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to estate planning.
- Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations pertaining to estate planning, tax, and corporate law, and adapt strategies as necessary.
- Prepare and review legal documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, if required.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Estate Planning or Tax is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 1-5 years of experience in estate planning, with a strong understanding of estate tax, gift tax, and corporate law.
- Admission to the state bar.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective estate plans for high net worth individuals and families.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and work effectively in a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stay updated with changes in laws and regulations pertaining to estate planning, tax, and corporate law.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to ethical standards.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
