The ideal candidate will be an individual who is passionate about providing expert legal advice and services to our clients, with a focus on estate planning and trust administration. This role involves working closely with clients to establish comprehensive estate plans, including the drafting of wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents. As an Estate Planning Attorney, you will be responsible for:
1. Meeting with clients to discuss their estate planning needs and goals.
2. Drafting and reviewing a variety of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives.
3. Providing expert legal advice on a range of estate planning matters, including tax planning, asset protection, and charitable giving.
4. Assisting with the administration of trusts, including the distribution of assets, preparation of accountings, and resolution of any disputes.
5. Representing clients in probate proceedings and acting as a liaison with the probate court.
Job Details
The ideal candidate for the Estate Planning Attorney position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the Maryland Bar.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning, with a particular emphasis on trusts and estates.
4. Profound knowledge of federal and state tax laws as they relate to estate planning.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
