Estate Planning Attorney at The Law Offices of Kimberly Butler Rainen

We are an entrepreneurial estates and trusts firm in Andover that is experiencing rapid growth, and we need an experienced attorney to join our team and work directly with the owner to help our clients. We are a lifestyle firm and believe in a work-life balance. Our current team consists of two attorneys, including the firm owner, one administrative assistant, one paralegal and one office manager. We offer flexible working hours at our Andover office.

$90,000-$125,000

• Associate/Senior Counsel: performs legal services including: legal research; designing, drafting and implementing comprehensive estate plans, craft and implement estate tax and long-term care planning strategies, administer probate and trust estates, occasionally appear on behalf of and advocate for clients at probate court.  
• Under the direction of the Managing Attorney, the Associate Attorney must have the ability to work effectively as a team member while also handling an individual caseload from start to finish.
• Associate must be willing and available at times to work outside normal office hours in order to meet deadlines. 
• Assist in proactively setting case strategy and initiating actions that will benefit the client rather than awaiting instructions.  
• Work in cooperation with firm staff to efficiently, cost-effectively and promptly deliver the client work product.
• Associate will conduct regular file reviews and other procedural duties as required by firm policy.

• Have a minimum of five years relevant experience.
• Are ready to work approximately 40 hours per week.
• Are passionate about assisting clients and families with all facets of estate planning including special needs planning, financing home care, planning for nursing home care, planning for special needs children, creating estate plans, and more.
• Enjoy getting to know families one at a time and helping each work through their particular web of issues and goals.
• Have strong verbal communications skills.
• Have impeccable writing skills. Must write in “plain English” – no “legalese.”
• Have down-to-earth, approachable personality.
• Are exceptionally detail oriented.
• Have ability and desire to work independently.
• Ask good questions.
• Have a joy of learning.
