Job Details
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7-10 years of solid trust & estate paralegal experience.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software programs.
- Highly proactive with attention to detail, dependable, and extremely organized.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Superb proofreading skills and clear and concise communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and effectively problem solve.
- Understanding of confidentiality and ethical obligations in handling sensitive client information.
- Notary commission preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Assist attorneys by drafting letters, memos, and related documents.
- Coordinate with clients to gather necessary documentation, such as financial records, property deeds, and beneficiary information.
- Manage client communication, including regular status updates on estate planning matters.
- Organize and maintain client files, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Collaborate with attorneys, staff, affiliated companies and to provide exceptional client service and support.
- Coordinate appointments with clients and attorneys.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals.
- Other duties as assigned by management/stakeholders.
