Are you a seasoned Paralegal with a passion for Estate Administration? Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to showcase your expertise and grow your career in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Our well-established law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Estate Administration Paralegal. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of estate administration, including probate procedures, trust administration, and estate tax laws.
Responsibilities:
As an Estate Administration Paralegal, you will be responsible for:
1. Preparing drafts of Probate documents for attorneys, including applications, motions, notices, and inventories.
2. Filing pleadings and hearing documents in a timely and organized manner.
3. Preparing Federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns.
4. Preparing estate and trust accountings.
5. Meeting with clients to notarize, witness, and sign documents and ensuring all deadlines are met.
6. Assisting in the preparation of Elder Law, Guardianship, and Business Incorporation documents.
7. Preparing appropriate release documents for estate distributions and assisting with transfers of estate property to beneficiaries.
8. Excelling in managing case files from inception to completion, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of estate administration.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of estate administration paralegal experience.
2. A Bachelor's degree or associate degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field is preferred.
3. A paralegal certificate from an accredited program is a plus.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
5. Strong knowledge of probate procedures, trust administration principles, and estate tax laws.
6. Experience in preparing drafts of Probate documents for attorneys.
7. The ability to file pleadings and hearing documents.
8. Experience in preparing Federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns.
9. The ability to prepare estate and trust accountings.
10. Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet with clients to notarize, witness, and sign documents.
11. The ability to assist in preparing Elder Law, Guardianship, and Business Incorporation documents.
12. The ability to prepare appropriate release documents for estate distributions and assist with transfers of estate property to beneficiaries.
13. The ability to excel in managing case files from inception to completion, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of estate administration.
