We are looking for an Estate and Trust Administration Legal Assistant with your experience and dedication to join our team. As a part of our team, you will be working directly with our clients, drafting documents necessary to administer an estate, following up in a timely and professional manner, and managing deadlines and due dates. You will support other team members so that together, we can focus on helping clients navigate the probate process and bring them peace of mind. You will be part of a hard-working and driven team of professionals who all share a common goal of providing the highest care and quality work to our clients.

Responsibilities
- You will work directly with clients to gather accurate information needed for the estate administration process.
- You will draft correspondence and other documents efficiently and accurately according to the firm's standards.
- You will review open matters weekly to ensure they are on track and on time.
- You will triage incoming documents and emails and ensure all received documents are acknowledge and documented properly.
- You will maintain accurate timekeeping records.
- You will manage physical and digital files to ensure they are accurate and up to date, according to the firm's established procedures.
- You will scan, organize, save, and catalog received documents and information.
- You will meet weekly with the Team Lead to review open cases, questions, and learning opportunities.
- You will work well independently, and also collaboratively, with other team members to provide the highest level of service to our clients.
- You will meet with clients in person to conduct signing meetings, as needed.

Education and Experience:
- You have 1 or more years of client-facing experience in a law firm.
- You have a fundamental understanding of the probate process.
- You have strong communication skills.
- You are proficient with different software and virtual technology, such as Zoom, Google Workspace, Microsoft applications, Actionstep, and others.
- You work in a positive manner with a variety of personnel within a team environment.
- You are an NC Notary Public or willing to become a Notary Public.
- Experience using ActionStep, Clio, Smokeball, or other similar client management software is a plus.
