We are seeking a seasoned Estate Administration Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of estate planning and administration, including wills, probate, tax planning, wealth management, trusts, individual tax planning, charitable planning, and complex estate planning. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on intricate, high-profile cases and provide strategic counsel to our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities:
The Estate Administration Attorney will be responsible for:
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising on a broad range of estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
- Administering complex estates and trusts, including the preparation of probate documents and estate tax returns.
- Advising clients on wealth management and individual tax planning strategies to preserve their assets and minimize their tax liabilities.
- Providing counsel on complex estate planning matters, including business succession planning, charitable planning, and the use of sophisticated estate planning techniques.
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure that all legal services are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- Keeping abreast of changes in estate planning and tax laws to provide the most current and accurate advice to clients.
- Representing clients in probate court proceedings and before tax authorities.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Estate Administration Attorney position will have:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and LL.M. in Taxation from an accredited law school
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning and administration, with a focus on wills, probate, tax planning, wealth management, trusts, individual tax planning, charitable planning, and complex estate planning.
- Admission to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Bar
- Extensive knowledge of estate planning and tax laws.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- A high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service.
