Job Title: ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Analyst
Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical ESG Analyst to join our team. As an ESG Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing the environmental, social, and governance practices of companies and investment portfolios. Your insights and recommendations will help guide investment decisions, risk assessments, and sustainability strategies aligned with our organization's ESG principles.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive ESG research and analysis on companies and industries to assess their performance and practices.
- Evaluate and score companies based on ESG criteria, including environmental impact, social responsibility, corporate governance, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and ethical business practices.
- Analyze ESG data and metrics from various sources, such as sustainability reports, regulatory filings, and third-party ESG rating agencies.
- Develop ESG investment strategies and integrate ESG factors into investment decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with portfolio managers, investment analysts, and stakeholders to incorporate ESG considerations into investment policies and strategies.
- Monitor and report on the ESG performance of investment portfolios, including ESG ratings, trends, and impact assessments.
- Engage with company management, stakeholders, and industry peers to promote transparency and best practices in ESG disclosures.
- Stay updated with global ESG standards, frameworks (e.g., PRI, SASB), and regulatory developments affecting ESG investing.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A Master's degree or certification in ESG, Sustainable Finance, or a relevant discipline is preferred.
- Proven experience (X years) as an ESG analyst, sustainability analyst, or in a related role within finance or investment management.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Familiarity with ESG data providers, metrics, and rating methodologies.
- Analytical skills to interpret complex data and perform quantitative analysis related to ESG factors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
