GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The ERP Finance Transformation Manager will lead the Finance department's adoption and optimization of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and other finance-related business systems to modernize financial operations, enhance efficiency, and improve data-driven decision-making. This position collaborates closely with all Budget & Finance functions ensuring the platforms effectively support all financial processes. The position focuses on defining functional requirements, driving process improvements, and fostering user adoption while ensuring D365 and other integrated systems deliver maximum value for the Finance department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Finance leadership and staff to identify, document, and prioritize business requirements for D365 enhancements and process improvements.
- Partner with external consultants and internal IT team to implement D365 and other business system updates and resolve system issues.
- Lead change management efforts for Finance, including developing training programs, creating user documentation, and ensuring high levels of system adoption.
- Act as the Finance department's primary liaison with the IT department and business systems vendors, ensuring system changes align with Finance's strategic goals.
- Develop and maintain process improvement initiatives to streamline financial workflows and increase efficiency.
- Monitor and report on system utilization, performance, and user satisfaction within the Finance department.
- Provide leadership in compliance with financial regulations and ensure system configurations support necessary reporting and audit requirements.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, utilizing a blend of Agile and Waterfall methodologies to deliver on-time and within scope.
- Prepare and present project updates to executive leadership and governance committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in finance, information technology, ERP implementation, or business process optimization; public sector experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proven expertise in project management methodologies; PMP certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and build consensus
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software implementation or optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a results-oriented mindset.
Working Conditions:
Works in an office environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or extreme temperatures. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting operating facilities, during which the incumbent should observe all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and use all protective clothing and devices provided.
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
