The equipment service supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment goals are met through teamwork and clear communication.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the daily maintenance function of equipment within a plant for a specific area.
• Support the achievement of operational KPIs, e.g., safety, quality, delivery, and waste
• Manage staffing for respective area to support ongoing production requirements and proactively escalate staffing shortages/surpluses
• Assess direct reports & support assessment of their team’s skill sets, current and future development needs, and take steps to mentor and develop them appropriately
• Manage development, training, and implementation of standardized work practices
• Support and train team to inspect equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
• Complete performance evaluation for direct reports.
• Support and assist direct reports in the completion of performance evaluations of their technicians
• Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to support production goals
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine maintenance requirements
• Coordinate communication / documentation between shifts
• Facilitate general problem-solving activities with the intent of determining corrective and preventive actions
• Execute routine inspection of the production area to review status of safety and quality compliance
• Develop Subject Matter Expert (SME) of assigned equipment, leveraging appropriate team members to make key decisions as necessary
• Ensure compliance for plant safety and environmental regulations
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained to meet high equipment efficiency targets with gap analysis
• Coordinate repairs with production team
• Summarize data to report trends and propose ideas and countermeasures to senior leadership
• Participate in budget development and business plan department level direction setting
• Evaluate non-core activity plans
• Team attendance verification, analysis and final approvals
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
• 7+ years in industrial multi-trade maintenance
• 3 years of experience in a supervisory or team leader position with direct reports
• Project management experience
• Experience with functional safety
Knowledge/Skills:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software
• Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with other departments
• Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:
• Comply with company and area Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
• Adhere to general, and position-specific, dress code requirement
• Able to work effectively in both office and production environment
• Provide hands-on support of equipment
• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations
• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts, as necessary
• This role requires up to 20% travel (domestic and/or international)
