Job Description:
Now hiring Dozer, Loader, Skid Steer, Excavator, Backhoe Operators and pipe crew members.
We are seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy equipment on construction sites or in other industrial settings. Your main duty will be to operate these machines safely and efficiently to complete tasks assigned by the project manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, graders, and cranes
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Complete tasks assigned by the project manager in a timely and efficient manner
- Ensure proper use of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Operate equipment to excavate, grade, and level earth, rock, gravel or other materials
- Transport materials, equipment, and debris around the job site as needed
- Use hand signals, radios, and other communication devices to coordinate with other workers on the job site
- Keep accurate records of work performed, including time and materials used
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the project manager immediately
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures for operating heavy equipment
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Team player with good communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed
