Heavy Equipment Operator
We are seeking skilled and experienced Equipment Operators to join our team at a major EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Contractor. This role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment on large commercial construction projects and requires the ability to relocate frequently and work away from home for extended periods. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Pay Rate

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must be available for out-of-town travel for extended periods.

Job Title Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, graders, roller compactors, and water trucks efficiently and safely.
- Perform pre-operation checks and regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to meet construction specifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
- Assist in site preparation, excavation, grading, and compaction as required by the project.
- Load and unload materials and equipment as necessary.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues and report them to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and inspections.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
- Willingness and ability to relocate frequently and work away from home for extended periods.
- Adapt to various work environments and job sites across different regions.
Job Title Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be willing to travel out-of-town for extended periods.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Pipe Fitter in the construction industry.
- Proven experience operating a range of heavy equipment on large commercial construction projects.
- Ability to operate excavators, loaders, skid steers, graders, roller compactors, and water trucks.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
