Position Summary
Locations: Seattle, WA
Minimum one year of experience in the operation of hydraulic excavator, track-type tractors, bull dozers, wheel loaders up to eight cubic yards, track loaders, lift trucks, rubber-tired backhoes, wheel excavators, boom trucks of all types, and bobcats. Familiarity in push-pull scrapers, various types of compactors, off-highway trucks and tractors, pumps, and generator operations. Should be certified in operating a forklift. Perform all types of trouble-shooting, repair, and equipment maintenance. Overtime and travel required.
Skills and Experience:
- Current 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required, and current 8-hour refresher preferred if available
- Must have familiarization and understanding of use and application of various types of respiratory protection and chemical hazards
- Valid Driver's License required
- Experience performing duties related to the clean-up of hazardous waste sites; utilizing all types of personal protective equipment, have working knowledge of commonly used field equipment and gear
- Working knowledge of standard safety procedures dealing with hazardous materials
- General knowledge of confined space entry, construction, complex pumping systems, electrical, chemical transfer, and plumbing
- High School diploma or equivalent
