Job Overview:
EPSI Worx is searching for an Equipment Operator to support our client in Grove City, OH. As an Equipment Operator, you will play a crucial role in our operations by efficiently hand-building pallets, picking and loading products onto trailers, and ensuring adherence to established safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in order picking, operating electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, stand-up forklifts, and loading procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Order Picking and Loading:
- Utilize Vocollect Voice Equipment to pick proper product types and quantities.
- Label products, place them on pallets, and load pallets onto trucks according to established standards, zones, and locations.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, and stand-up forklifts.
Food Safety Procedures:
- Handle products and build pallets according to established food safety procedures.
- Perform visual inspections of products for damage and ensure proper placement on pallets to minimize cross-contamination and damage.
Communication and Issue Resolution:
- Communicate with the management team regarding any issues, such as product discrepancies, out-of-stock items, and safety concerns.
Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate all company warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, per company standards.
- Report any equipment issues promptly to a member of the management team.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
- Wear personal protective equipment, including safety shoes.
- Follow safety regulations and guidelines related to the job
Work Schedule and Attendance:
- Work the assigned schedule, exhibiting regular and predictable attendance.
- Be willing to work overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED/equivalent degree or equivalent work experience in place of a degree.
- Forklift and pallet jack license/certification.
- Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
