This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE/8 hours per day position working on the CL-12 (260 days per full school year) schedule, Mon-Fri, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Operates maintenance equipment to repair maintain and construct, District fields, roads and parking.
Essential Functions:

- Operate backhoe, tractor, rotary mower, jack hammer, blacktop roller, sweeper, 5-yard and 10-yard dump trucks, grader, rototiller, and other heavy and light equipment.
- Prepare athletic fields by applying loam, rock, or marking chalk.
- Clean catch basins and drain lines; relocate as necessary to maintain proper flow of water run-off. May be required to use transit to calculate elevations and rate of flow for installation or alteration of drainage ditches.
- Clear brush, mow ditches, and perform other rough groundskeeping. Clear snow and sand during snow season.
- Contact utilities to determine locations of water and electric lines. Clear broken or clogged sewers, uncover power lines; dig footings or foundations for new buildings.
- Order and arrange delivery of asphalt; oversee crews in preparing, applying, rolling, and finishing asphalt lots.
- Clean, lubricate, adjust, and perform general maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Train other personnel in safe equipment use.
- Assist in moving athletic equipment, furniture, or other items.
- May be required to assist in the fabrication of needed equipment or parts.
- Maintains regular and prompt attendance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
