5:00am - 1:30 pm days per week. Must be available for OT and Weekends.

Volt is Immediately hiring an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic for a leading company in Taft, CA.
As an Equipment Maintenance Mechanic you will:
- Repair, service and maintain all material handling equipment including electric and gas forklifts, and electric and manual pallet jacks.
- Decision making and problem solving required.
- Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs with minimal assistance. Ability to work with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have:
- High School diploma (GED accepted)
- Work Experience: 4+ Years of Propane Forklift maintenance Mechanic experience.
- Must be able to work safely and effectively in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
- Must be self-motivated and willing to maintain and develop his/her skills.
- Analytic Skills and Mechanical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Detail oriented with the ability to follow a checklist and maintain accurate work order documentation.
- Experience in machine modification and rebuilds is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and to clearly communicate information received in both written and verbal forms.
- Ability to use shop math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals) and interpret basic measuring equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Continuously lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 50 pounds; regularly lift/move/push/pull objects weighing up to and including 75 pounds.
- Frequently climbs ladders; occasionally works at heights of 100 feet.
- Vision sufficient to safely perform the essential job tasks
- Leadership and management skills
- Analytic and problem solving
- Literacy skills, including the ability to read manuals
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
