Equipment Manager - Jireh Semiconductor

About the Job
Responsible for managing the vacuum style equipment team, which includes diffusion, thin film equipment engineers, equipment technicians, and contracted field service engineers, supporting 24/7 coverage and all areas of the Fab. Maintenance and tool trouble shooting on: diffusion and thin film equipment. Drives continuous improvement in tool availability, cost control, and other department metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
- Thin film / diffusion area equipment operation managing
- Communicates strategic objectives throughout the equipment organization and drives for results.
- Drives key performance indicators for the equipment team, such as tool availability, preventive maintenance success rate, MTBF, MTTR, and cost.
- Supports manufacturing by ensuring priorities are aligned.
- Builds a strong team through mentorship, development of the team and successfully hiring candidates.
- Drives improvement projects that maximize Fab efficiency and product quality.
- Manages spare parts inventory levels to ensure minimal downtime while meeting cost goals
- DNS wet tool maintenance [10%]:
- Cleaning thin film AMAT chambers;
- Adjusting tool robot systems;
- Adjusting implanter dose and PM;
- Adjusting and replacing heater gap;
- DNS on-line tool troubleshooting [25%]:
- Working on the recovery of any tool inline issues, including abnormal stop, wafer break, and any mechanical or electrical issues that cause tool stop;
- Novellus tool maintenance [10%]:
- Cleaning show head and heater block;
- Adjusting tool robot systems;
- Adjusting rotation speed;
- AMAT tool maintenance [10%]:
- Checking and adjusting tool DEP RATE;
- Checking tool temperature;
- Chamber cleaning
- Cost reduction project [5%]:
- Working with the purchasing team to find the second source and working with the process team to qualify the second source;
- MEI on-line tool troubleshooting [5%]:
- Working on the recovery of any tool inline issues, including abnormal stop, wafer break, and any mechanical or electrical issues that cause tool stop;
- ESH training for safety [5%]:
- Studying ESH, including air masks, CPR, and emergency escape;
- BPSG/HDP on-line tool troubleshooting [30%]:
- Working on the recovery of any tool inline issues, including abnormal stop, wafer break, and any mechanical or electrical issues that cause tool stop;
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related degree.
• 5+ years of working experience in the semiconductor manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years' experience managing a team.
• At least 10 year experience on AMAT system
QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient at MS Office applications.
- Strong business acumen with a demonstrated ability to make
- Prior experience managing and developing an equipment team.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, from technicians to executives.
- Ability to support 24-hour operation.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
