The Equipment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of production by being responsible for the setup, repair, and ongoing maintenance of all production equipment.

The Equipment Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of production by being responsible for the setup, repair, and ongoing maintenance of all production equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform setup operations for all production-related equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Carry out preventive maintenance procedures and thoroughly document each action.
- Manage the procurement of necessary parts and supplies for equipment maintenance.
- Inspect tooling to maintain quality and operational standards.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel on optimal equipment usage to reduce failures and downtime.
- Collaborate across departments to support process improvements and facility development.
- Participate actively in FDA audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Proficient knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment operations, including solid, semi-solid, and liquid forms. Experience with softgel manufacturing is highly valued.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, electrical test meters, and precision measuring and inspection instruments.
- Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) guidelines.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Strong team player with the ability to work effectively across various departments.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in the maintenance of solid, semi-solid, and liquid pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- The role operates within a GMP Manufacturing Environment, office settings, and the plant floor.
- Adherence to special gowning procedures is required, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the head, face, hands, and arms.
- Restrictions apply to wearing make-up, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, or artificial fingernails in certain work environments.
- The position demands the ability to work under a fast-paced environment with high job completion demands.
- The role involves regular requirements to see, talk, and hear, with frequent needs to sit, stand, walk, and utilize hands and arms for reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Occasionally required to lift or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
